Our vision is to see a Christ-exalting, indigenous church-planting movement in Cambodia that bears witness to the presence of the Kingdom of God, both here and to the ends of the earth.

Our vision is to see a Christ-exalting, indigenous church-planting movement in Cambodia that bears witness to the presence of the Kingdom of God, both here and to the ends of the earth.
-
In order to realize our vision, we believe the following elements are critical:
A Pipeline of Equipped Leaders
A Core of Growing Disciples
A Model of a Maturing Church
Therefore, we believe God has called our team to a three-fold mission:
Equip Khmer Pastors
Disciple Khmer Believers
Serve the Khmer Church
-
The Priority of the Local Church
We believe that the church is the primary, God ordained means for Christian witness and that it is through the planting, nurturing and reproduction of vibrant, contextual and worshipping communities of faith that the gospel of Christ is proclaimed and demonstrated to the watching world. We therefore seek to minister within the context of the local church and all unto the church’s health and vitality.
In keeping with our convictions, we seek to serve and equip reformed and covenantal church plants that are free to minister in partnership with other evangelical communities of faith who confess the essentials of the historic Christian faith.
Contextualized Witness
We believe that it is a demonstration of respect and love to honor and adapt to the host culture where there is no clear contradiction with Scripture. We seek to better recognize, critique and shed our own culturally determined practices and philosophies of ministry in order to bear intelligible witness to Christ among those we seek to serve.
Accordingly, we value the critical necessity to minister in the heart language of those we seek to reach.
Community and Care
We believe that there is work to be done in us, not just by us; that we called to be, just as we are called to do. We are therefore committed to each other’s spiritual growth and formation in Christ. It is not so much our gifts or experience, but our likeness to Christ that gives witness to the gospel of grace.
We believe that we are called to minister in community and as a community, with each minister dependent upon the ministry of others. We confess that we need one another to live out God’s call upon our lives, a call that is above all else, a call to walk by the Spirit, abide in the Lord Jesus Christ and rest in our Father God as his beloved children.
Ministry in Word and Deed
We believe that as distinct but inseparable from the ministry of the word, ministries of deed are best pursued in strong connection to the local church and perfectly in keeping with our call to make disciples.
We believe that God’s church is that community that bears the presence of the just and compassionate God. We therefore believe that ministries of deed are integral to the life, identity and witness of the local church.
Healthy Interdependence and Sustainability
We seek to come not from positions of power with culturally bound agendas, but rather desire to serve and come alongside national leaders who are ultimately better positioned to reach their nation for Christ’s fame.
We recognize that we have much to learn from the Khmer church and her leaders and so value mutuality and dialogue, seeking to promote together sustainable growth and the long-term health of the church in Cambodia.
We believe that a truly indigenous movement of church-planting churches will be characterized neither by dependence upon nor independence from, but rather interdependence within the global body of Christ.
